"The Chicago Blackhawks caught some people off guard on Tuesday when they placed newly acquired defenseman Jason Garrison on waivers. Garrison was placed on waivers and now it looks like his contract will be bought out. General manager Stan Bowman isn't done with just Garrison as he placed another defenseman on waivers Wednesday. According to Scott Powers of The Athletic, the 'Hawks have placed Brandon Davidson on waivers. With Brandon Manning, Davidson and Garrison now all gone, the team has Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, Connor Murphy, Erik Gustafsson, Gustav Forsling and Carl Dahlstrom on the blueline. The team might have to call up another defenseman by the end of the day.
Garrison is put on unconditional waivers and Davidson is on on waivers today. — Scott Powers (@ByScottPowers) January 2, 2019
