Lucic and his wife were involved in an incident where the Bruin was previously arrested and charged with assault.
The prosecution decided to drop all charges against the Boston Bruins forward, which was surprising.
JUST IN: Prosecutors dropped their case against Boston Bruins veteran Milan Lucic today, after revealing that his wife declined to testify and a judge ruled that her 911 call was inadmissible. https://t.co/FA7jZNoLOm pic.twitter.com/1Dyt6VGAXh WCVB-TV Boston (@WCVB) February 16, 2024
As soon as Lucic's wife declined to testify against him in court, this happened.
The absence of Lucic's wife from the trial led Lucic's attorneys to claim that Lucic's wife manufactured the claim.
All charges related to the case would be dropped by the judge after agreeing with Lucic's lawyer.
As well as being enrolled in the Players Assistance Program, Lucic hasn't been given a timetable for his return to the ice.
We'll continue to cover it as it develops.
