"It's a story that's taken over the Chicago Blackhawks world and it sounds like it's heading towards some closure. Defenseman Duncan Keith has requested a trade out of town hoping to get to Western Canada so he can spend some more time with his son. It sounds like his future destination is now known. According to Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal, Keith is likely headed out to Edmonton. "Everyone I am talking to believes Duncan Keith will be heading to Edmonton." The Canucks had already dropped out of the race which left the Oilers, Flames, Jets and Kraken as possible destinations. With Tyson Barrie likely signing elsewhere during free agency they've got the roster space for Keith and many believe he'll be a perfect minute eater behind their main man Darnell Nurse. More details to come.
