"After a year overseas in Austria, former Chicago Blackhawks' goalie Scott Darling is trying to make an NHL comeback. Darling was one of the Blackhawks most reliable goalies over the last couple years playing a great backup role to Corey Crawford. He was eventually shipped off to Carolina and things went downhill for Darling with the Hurricanes where he was eventually sent to the AHL. Now he's looking to take another shot in the NHL. According to Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Darling has signed a PTO with the Florida Panthers. This would present the opportunity for Darling to reunite with former Blackhawks' head coach Joel Quenneville.
