Elliotte Friedman just reported that the Seattle Kraken have secured a major contract extension with Matty Beniers.

Friedman revealed that the deal for the 2023 Calder Trophy winner is set for seven years, totaling about $50 million.
This means Beniers will earn around $7.14 million annually until the 2030-31 season.
Beniers, who was the Kraken's first-ever draft pick and taken second overall, is now set as a cornerstone for the team's future.
