Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau roasts the NHL's Gary Bettman
Justin Trudeau sends jabs towards NHL's Gary Bettman in presser
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was recently in Toronto to introduce a new team coming to the NBA, which will be playing at the Maple Leafs' arena, Scotiabank Arena, in 2026.
The franchise was purchased for $115 million by Larry Tanebaum, chairman and part owners of Maple Leafs sports and entertainment.
Cathy Engelbert stated:
Expanding internationally helps us connect with new fans and partners. It's great to see young kids in another country see that women's professional basketball matters too.
Justin Trudeau than had a turn to speak and used it as the perfect time to roast NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and his 5-foot-5 height.
Trudeau thanked Engelbert for bringing a Toronto WBNA franchise to life, and then made a playful joke towards Bettman, stating:
"You're much taller than Gary Bettman... I'm really gonna like working with you!"
Trudeau said to the female WNBA commissioner.
These two faces (Trudeau/Bettman) are truly some of the most disliked names in their craft, but which one is disliked the most?
