Russian Government Seizes Capitals' Ovechkin's bank account
Troubling news for Alex Ovechkin of the Capitals
The Washington Capitals star forward is facing financial issues, according to reports from Maxime Truman.
The Russian government has froze his bank account because of a very cheap unpaid tax bill.
Ovechkin reportedly owes $543 in federal taxes, the government then decided to freeze his account.
''Championat reports that Alex Ovechkin's business bank account has been frozen due to a debt of US$543 in federal taxes. It's not a good time to owe money to the government there, I suppose.''
This shows how strict the Russian tax system is, and Russian government in general.
