former Chicago Blackhawks defensemen inks deal in Boston with bruins
The Boston Bruins and GM Don Sweeney have announced two signings today, as they inked two defenseman.
The Bruins have signed defenseman and former Blackhawk Alec Regular to a one-year deal.
The deal carries at $775K league minimum cap hit, and most recently played in the AHL with the Providence Bruins.
In Providence, Regula played 55 games in the 2023-2024 AHL season, scoring 26 points(4 G, 22 A) with a plus/minus +36 rating.
The 6'4", 218LB defenseman has skated in 163 games during his AHL career, split between the Rockford IceHogs and Providence Bruins.
Regula scored 77 total point(16 G, 61 A) in Rockford, and appeared in 22 NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Regula was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 2018 in the 3rd round, 67th overall.
