A former pro scout and video coach, who held many roles with several teams in the NHL has sadly passed away at the age of 46.
Scott Masters who was a former Avalanche video coach passed away way too young:
"RIP to former Avs video coach Scott Masters. Scott also worked in the Florida, St. Louis and Montreal organizations."
Masters worked with teams in the NHL from 2001 to 2019. He got his start as a video coach in 2013, a role he would play in the Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, and St. Louis Blues organizations.
The Montreal Canadiens would later hire Masters, as a Pro Scout where he was up until 2019. On a recent Podcast, he discussed his career in the NHL and praised current St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong as someone who had a positive effect on his career.
