The Chicago Blackhawks seem to be in a never ending loop of salary cap hell.
After this season the team will have to decide on new contracts for Marcus Kruger, David Kampf, Brendan Perlini, Jan Ruutta, Gustav Forsling and with only 15 players signed, possibly some free agents.
General manager Stan Bowman has had to navigate through the salary for what feels like forever and with only $3million in cap space right now, there's not many big moves he can make.
However the Hawks' GM just got some pretty good news that will help possibly this year and definitely next year.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said he expects the league's salary cap to jump to $83million next season from the $78million it's at this season.
That gives Bowman an extra $5million to play with next year.
