The Chicago Blackhawks took down the Winnipeg Jets at home last night 5-2 and it was a huge game for two reasons. Firstly, because the Hawks continue their mountain climb of getting into a playoff spot and now sit just three points behind the Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes for a Wild Card spot. Second, Blackhawks' forward Patrick Kane hit the absolutely amazing milestone of registering his 1000th point in the NHL.Ana amazing accomplishment made even sweeter by getting it on home ice. «It's nice,» Kane said of being at the United Center. «I think that's special, too. I knew I had two games here where I had a chance to get it. I was hoping to get it done here at home before we went on a long break. The team is rolling right now, too, so there's a lot of good things happening. We're playing well. It's nice to get it here at home in front of the crowd, get a win in front of the crowd and to have it come in a win. It's a pretty special day.» Watching Kane become the player he is now has been absolutely amazing.
