Patrick Kane's Future in Detroit Addressed in Recent Interview
Former Blackhawks superstar, after hip-resurfacing surgery, would find a new spot in Detroit. The future Hall of Famer has been a part of the Yzerplan, short-term.
But the question is will he stay in Detroit long-term? He has found a new home on the Red Wings' top line, looking like his old self with his new team, one of the greatest American-born wingers of all time, being centered by Dylan Larkin as of late.
However, he remains an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, people wonder if, will remain a part of the Yzerplan long-term at the end of the summer.
People are curious.
Absolutely, I mean of course. Like I said I've loved my time here, I think we have other things at stake right now and other things to focus on, so we'll worry about that and focus on that after the year."
Kane has proven to be a key piece in the Wings lineup, scoring 47 points(20 G, 27 A) in 49 games, and seems to be a good fit in Detroit.
They would both benefit from the continued relationship, as they're the closest to the playoffs they have ever been since 2016 with him in the lineup.
