Blackhawks Toews' issues statement

Jonathan Toews has been down and out recently, as his last public appearance, came when he wished his former UND teammate well at his return to UND Ice for a special night for Ryan Duncan.

This was back in February and of course, Jonathan Toews returned to his privacy and no one has heard from him since.

Until this Friday June 21, as he was just asked by The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun about Connor McDavid's current Stanley Cup run in 2024.

Jonathan Toews on Connor McDavid's playoff run: «He's out of this world. It's really hard to comprehend what he's doing, on top of the pressure he's under. He just keeps reaching new levels. He's unstoppable. I find myself cheering for him it's so impressive.»

So Toews has definitely been watching the Stanley Cup playoffs if he's up to date with the Oilers current stretch of wins. This is nothing but one of the greats appreciating a future legend in the making. He's also been spotted with the Blackhawks:

Connor McDavid's game is one of the best in the hockey world and he has proves it yearly.

In 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023, McDavid won the Art Ross Trophy and it's difficult not to see him win it again, while his team is still battling in the Stanley Cup Finals this season.

In 23 Games played this season, McDavid has tallied 42 points( 8 G, 34 A) surpassing one of the greatest players of all-time, Wayne Gretzky's post-season record with the Kings in 1991.

At this point, it seems difficult to count Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers out as they're out for blood.
