NHL Player Safety makes decision on Panthers' Tkachuk
Game Four in the Stanley Cup finals continued to be a physical affair Anne with intense moments as
Matthew Tkachuk learned his fate after punching
Connor McDavid.
The NHL players and safety department has determined that there will be no further discipline or suspensions for Tkachuk after he jumped McDavid who was defenseless. The war between these two teams continues to heat up after the Oilers embarrassed the Panthers by a score of 8-1 while trying to stay alive in the Stanley Cup finals after being down 3-0 in the series.
With the goal outburst in this game, there's some life in the Oilers dressing room and, in the building, but it's still a tall mountain to climb for the Oilers to come back from such a big deficit.
It was the first game that McDavid showed any signs of offence as he had four points on the night including one goal in three assists. If the Oilers hope to have any chance to get back into this series they will need more offensive production from their top guys including McDavid, Hyman, Ryan Nugent Hopkins and
Leon Draisaitl.
It's likely the Panthers will want to answer for this embarrassing loss and continue their fore-checking style and try to closeout the series at home in five games.
