A new report confirms it all for for free agent forward Patrick Kane

It appears Patrick Kane is still not officially a Detroit Red Wing until he signs on the dotted line.
Could it mean that he will be a future Blackhawk? It doesn't seem likely as Kane thought to be headed back to New York, might be stuck in Hockeytown of his own willpower.
As the rumors of Kane being once again to be a Ranger made the rounds, did GM Chris Drury pull out of talks?
It sounds like NHL Insider Chris Johnston is certain that more or less, Patrick Kane will remain in Detroit.
Johnston on Insider Trading: "Patrick Kane, still in discussion with the Detroit Red Wings... I think that there is at least a reasonable chance he ends up as a Red Wing"
Kane's last contract was a 1X $2.75 M AAV deal, which saw Showtime's production rebound in Detroit, thanks to playing alongside Alex Debrincat and
Dylan Larkin.
Kane would also score 47 points(20 G, 27 A) in 50 games with the Red Wings in the hunt for a Stanley Cup.
It seemed certain that he would return to New York where he himself thought there was unfinished business on Broadway.
But for now, he will continue to wear a Winged Wheel and terrorize
Connor Bedard and the Hawks for another season if a new deal goes through.
