Blackhawks announcer reveals info on Jake Guentzel coming to Chicago
It appears that during the 2024-2025 NHL regular season, the Chicago Blackhawks are shooting for the moon.
The Blackhawks want to improve their roster significantly, both with trades and at the draft.
The team will try to improve their top-six as according to Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek of 32 TP, along with Darren Pang the Blackhawks want to improve their top six.
After

pondered a Jake Guenztel Chicago pairing today, we asked
@Panger40
about that possibility
That could involve a move including former Penguins and Hurricanes winger, Jake Guentzel who will be a UFA at the end of the season.
It appears he won't be signing in Carolina, despite the team wanting the relationship to last long-term, the 2017 Stanley Cup winner, wants to test the market.
Guentzel made $6 million AAV on his last contract and he is likely to see that figure climb above the $8 million neighbourhood on his next deal. Whether that happens in Carolina or elsewhere is an answer we'll know in less than a month's time.
Guentzel will be paid a significant amount of money, as a former Stanley Cup champ, not to mention he has another 30 goal season underneath his belt, with 77 points in 67 games.
Guentzel not only fills a roster need in the top-six as someone who could slot alongside Connor Bedard, his personality is a fit for the Blackhawks according to Darren Pang.
