Blackhawks Senior Advisor Makes Authoritative Statement on Patrick Kanes Return
It is the wish of every Blackhawks fan, that Patrick Kane will eventually return the fold in some fashion to the Windy City.
But with free-agency ramping up and Kane waving leaving Detroit in the dust, is there a possibility the Blackhawks are in on Kane's return?
According to Brian Campbell, who is currently the teams Senior Advisor he has since addressed the issue, by officially passing the buck.
While the front-office is listening to fan, Brian Campbell wouldn't offer a real answer.
So no answer here, is the real answer as he pushed the two interviewers off onto the whims of Kyle Davidson, should Kane ever return.
We had #Blackhawks Hockey Ops Advisor Brian Campbell on the show yesterday and asked him if he had an official statement on Patrick Kane returning to Chicago.
On the CHGO Blackhawks Podcast, Campbell would pass the buck and miss the fine jar as a result.
As false promises of hope could be detrimental to not only the organization, but damage Campbell's own credibility whether or not he'd want Kane back either.
In Detroit he's had a resurgence since his hip-resurfacing surgery, scoring 47 points in 50 games with the Red Wings.
Bittersweet, giving he's wearing the Winged wheel now.
But Campbell wouldn't confirm or deny, which is likely corporate speak for: Nothing, nada, or zilch would happen in regards to "Showtime" in Windy City.
