OTD: Chicago Blackhawks Complete a Major Trade That is a Huge Win
On this day in 2011, the Chicago Blackhawks made a big trade. They got Michael Frolik from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jack Skille, Hugh Jessiman, and David Pacan.
Frolik became an important player for the Blackhawks, especially during their Stanley Cup run in 2013. He scored 34 points in 136 regular-season games and added 18 points in the playoffs.
One of Frolik's best moments with the Blackhawks was when he scored a crucial penalty shot in Game 6 against the Detroit Red Wings, helping the Blackhawks win the series.
Frolik's time with the Blackhawks may have been short, but he made a big impact on the team and their fans.
