The Minnesota Wild have secured goaltender Filip Gustavsson with a lucrative three-year contract worth $3.75 million per season. Announced last month.
The signing of Gustavsson to the team has sparked speculation about Marc-Andre Fleury's role for the upcoming season.
As a veteran goaltender, it seems unlikely that Fleury would be content with a backup position, especially considering it could be his final year in the NHL (as he has hinted at himself).
Wild fans and hockey enthusiasts alike are now eagerly awaiting further updates on how the team will handle the goaltending situation, as the new season approaches.
