Goaltender Petr Mrazek gets embarrassed at IIHF Championships
Petr Mrazek has been a foundation for the Blackhawks during the 2023-2024 regular season.
However, during the IIHF World Hockey Championships contrasted his spectacular season, with a .907% save percentage, starting 53 games after a return from a groin injury, earning high praise from Luke Richardson.
Mrazek allowed 3 goals in the first four shots he faced against Norway in his first start in the IIHF World Championships for his home team, Czechia.
Norway, considered underdogs, led Czechia 3-1 in the late 1st period on Saturday.
Afterwards, Mrazek would lock in and help secure the win for Czechia, securing a 6-3 win, outshooting the Norwegians 49-11.
David Kampf and Michal Kempny were former Blackhawks, who also helped lead the charge against Team Norway.
