Blackhawks' state without Connor Bedard gets brutally exposed

Last night, the Blackhawks fell short to the Calgary Flames, losing 1-0. However, Chicago had six breakaway chances, and didn't score on one of them.

Boris Katchouk had two and didn't convert one. Philipp Kurashev was robbed on a backhand shot by Jacob Markstrom. And of course, three more chances, all denied by Markstrom. Markstrom also happened to stop 26 more shots by the Hawks.

But the main problem last night was going 0/6 on breakaway's. That is unacceptable. This team has to work on their breakaway's because if you don't convert on them, you may as well have already lost the hockey game.

Another one that happened about a week or so ago was the embarrassing penalty shot attempt by Mackenzie Entwistle. Entwistle got penalized, leading to a penalty shot, and the best thing he could come up with was skating to the left side, cutting back in and just whipping it right at the goalie.

This team desperately needs Connor Bedard back, who at least brought a sense of offensive life to this hockey team.

Richardson needs to sit down with the team and do some drills in practice for this; this is just unacceptable.
