On February 2, 2013, Ray Emery had an impressive game for the Chicago Blackhawks, making 45 saves on 47 shots and securing a win in a shootout against the Calgary Flames with a final score of 3-2.

The game stayed tied until Patrick Kane scored 4:08 into the final frame. Although Calgary scored the next two goals, Marian Hossa tied the game with just three seconds left in regulation. In the shootout, Kane scored the only goal, and Emery's three saves ensured an exciting win for the Blackhawks.

Fast forward to February 2, 2019, Erik Gustafsson played a crucial role for the Blackhawks against the Minnesota Wild. Gustafsson scored two goals, including the overtime winner, leading the Blackhawks to a 4-3 victory.

The game featured Jason Zucker scoring the only goal in the first period for Minnesota. In the second, Alex DeBrincat and Gustafsson scored, putting Chicago in the lead.

Jonathan Toews added a third-period goal, but Mikko Koivu and Victor Rask responded for the Wild, sending the game into overtime. Gustafsson secured the extra point for the Blackhawks with a power-play goal from the point just over a minute into overtime.

Additionally, on this day, the Blackhawks celebrate the birthday of Jordan Tootoo, a seasoned NHL forward born on February 2, 1983.

Tootoo spent his final season with the Blackhawks, contributing three points (two goals, one assist) in 50 regular-season games and showcasing his rugged playing style with two blocks and three hits in two playoff games with Chicago.
