He has been excited to work with kids interested in hockey and makes time to reach out to fans in everyone he plays at.
Doing so, he makes time after practice to sign items, to give away pucks, and to greet young fans.
Bedard is doing the outreach that Gary Bettman and company refuse to do when it comes to growing the game.

Another example of Bedard's generosity has been shown again, as a fan caught Bedard during practice before a Blackhawks game handing out pucks.
In doing so, the first puck didn't end up to the person he intended it to, so afterward he made sure to make it right, by grabbing yet another puck and standing by until he made sure that the fan received their puck.
If that isn't anything but integrity and caring for the fans, I don't know what is.
The Blackhawks fans have a great player and personality in Bedard and should be appreciative of how he goes the extra mile to be accommodating to them.
The Blackhawks play the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, as they conclude their road trip this weekend.
