Blackhawks' Frank Nazar's health addressed after career-altering injury
Frank Nazar returned to play last season after hip surgery with a shadow of doubt hanging over his head.
He would end up playing in the World Juniors Championship, and would later star in 3 NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The 13th overall pick had rebounded against all odds, after having to walk with crutches prior to his epic return to ice.
«I feel way better than I did last year,» Nazar said Sunday. «Obviously, coming back from missing a lot of time is pretty hard, especially coming back during playoffs. I luckily had a good crew here that helped me keep my confidence up and help me get back, and I'm thankful for everybody to help me do that.»
«Every day I think about (the injury),» Nazar said. «It just makes me come to the rink hungrier and just knowing that (I) never know what's gonna happen. So I just make sure (I'm) getting ready for the ice and warming up really well and when (I) go out there just make the most of it.»
He would rebound confidently, and the 13th overall pick in 2022, would show why the Blackhawks drafted him so high.
Showing up to the NHL was a treat for all Blackhawks fans, even in 3 games we got to see what Nazar is made of, scoring his first goal on his first shot as well.
With the shadow lifted, and Nazar now in the Blackhawks system, will he start the year in the AHL or make the NHL team?
