The Chicago Blackhawks have a problem with Connor Bedard, and it isn't just his backchecking, it's his attitude toward Jeremy Roenick.

During the Winter Classic, the Chicago Blackhawks honored legends Denis Savard, Chris Chelios, and newest HHOF inductee Jeremy Roenick.

During an interview on the Snipes and Stripes Podcast, the veteran detailed his interaction with the team at the Winter Classic.

He mentioned how all of the Chicago Blackhawks would come up to say "Hi" and engage with all three of the legends in attendance. All of them, but Connor Bedard would make the effort to reach out to all three former Hawks.

Roenick took offense to the lack of communication from the face of the future for the Blackhawks. Bedard failed to even say "Hi" or shake their hands while they were present on the ice.

«All the players came up to me, [Chelios], and [Savard], except one,» Roenick said. «That was Connor Bedard If we don't have that respect to go up and fist bump, to say congratulations, how can you do it with your own teammates?

«I'm not ripping on him in terms of his personality or anything like that. If he's going to be the captain of this team, there is a lot of things that he has to think about in terms of being that leader, being that captain, and unfortunately he dropped the ball.»

This season has been a nightmare for Connor Bedard and the team, as he went into a slump early in the season. That was until the Blackhawks fired Richardson, and brought in Anders Sorensen.

Yet, he couldn't escape the brutal words, and the bad PR from Jeremy Roenick, who is known as a consistent 40-goal scorer in the league, and a Blackhawks hall of famer.

If Bedard is to Captain the Blackhawks one day, you'd think that he would approach these legends with some humility and grace as he tries to pick their brain for wisdom, improve his game, and build roots in the organization.

Roenick, 54, was inducted into the HHOF in November and has played 1363 games in the NHL, with 1216 points scored.

He had four seasons total where he scored 40 + goals or more, and played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings.
