Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno issues emotional statement to United Center crowd in Chicago following 4-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday

Captain Nick Foligno took the dwelling Blackhawks team under his wing and on his back on Friday against the Montreal Canadiens, coming out with a much needed 4-2 win to snap their losing streak.

Blackhawks beat Canadiens 4-2 Friday

Foligno tallied a goal, in which made for his fourth-multi point game as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Following the game, Foligno issued an apology inside the locker room, and also on the ice to the fans- first let's take a look at the post-game comments made on the ice:
"You fans deserve a better effort. I think we gave that tonight."
Foligno was absolutely correct, the fans do deserve a better effort, they showed that by erupting after Foligno stated it.
In the locker room, Foligno continued his apology to fans, getting deep down into detail, take a look:
Nick Foligno: "We left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, ourselves mostly, in how we played in that Winter Classic. We want to make sure we're proud of the brand of hockey we're putting out there... We had an honest conversation yesterday about how disappointed we were with the way we've been playing. I'm really proud of every guy for stepping up tonight."
This is an amazing look for the captain Foligno, and his true veteran leadership presence was shown.
