The fans of the Chicago Blackhawks should be optimistic, as the roster has improved, and Connor Bedard is coming into his 2nd season in the league as a Calder Trophy winner.
Thanks to significant off-season moves they have found relevancy, and there are interesting games to look out for this season.
On October 8th
: The team will face the Utah HC as an exciting match-up, as it's no longer generational talent vs generational talent, but the Blackhawks vs the newest organization in the league.October 12th
: The Blackhawks will face
Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, who made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and could be considered the league's 2nd-best team, after the Panthers of course. It'll be interesting to see how the newly stacked Hawks team performs against Knoblauch and the Oilers.
October 26th
: The team will take on the Western Conference Champs, the Dallas Stars. While the Nashville Predators are looking good on paper, until proven otherwise the Stars are the best in the Central Division. It'll be interesting to see how Bedard and the Hawks, face off against
Jason Robertson and the Stars.
November 6th
: The Hawks will take on
Patrick Kane and the Detroit Red Wings once more. While the two are no longer rivals, which is a shame they'll play each other twice this year. Could the two meet in the playoffs this season?
December 17th
: The Washington Capitals and the Blackhawks will face off, as both teams have recently upgraded their lineups, it'll be an exciting bout seeing who succumbs to who, as the Capitals boast a new look, while the Hawks got a minor, but better-looking face-lift in free-agency.December 31st
: Familiar foes and rivals, the St. Louis Blues will arrive just in time for New Year's Eve. The St. Louis Blues were quiet during free agency, while the Blackhawks made a splash. It'll be great to see the Blackhawks deliver a win against a struggling rival, in a turn of irony.April 6th
: This year, we will have to wait to see Connor Bedard face-off against
Sidney Crosby, compared to last. It'll be a tale of two franchises, as one team wants a generational talent to make it to their first playoff series, while the Penguins intend to make it into the playoffs, during what could be considered the twilight of his NHL career.
