Blackhawks recently acquired forward won't join organization until 2027-28

According to Charlie Roumeliotis for NBC Chicago, Blackhawks prospect Jack Pridham will be going back to the BCHL West Kelowna team next season.

The Blackhawks traded for a pick, and selected Pridham with it, who was on the teams' radar.

He also reported that he would then head to the Boston University in the following year which would put him at a potential start date with the Blackhawks in 2027-2028.

The son of Maple Leafs Assistant GM Brandon Pridham was selected in the third round, 92nd overall. According to eliteprospects.com, the 18-year-old right winger has a north-south attack that has great speed it intends to push defenders to their heels.

During his season, he played 54 games, scored 23 goals with 26 assists for 49 points and had thirty penalty minutes he also was instrumental in the playoffs as he played ten games, scoring equals with three assists for 11 points and was 16 penalty minutes.

It was clear in this draft by general manager Kyle Davidson that he intended to draft forwards with his second overall and 163rd overall being defenseman the remainder were all forwards.

The Blackhawks continue to rebuild through the draft and now with unrestricted free agency upon them, the team could really accelerate as the organization holds abundant cap space and could help them land a couple prominent free agents.

Unrestricted free agency day begins on July 1st at 12:00 PM eastern.
