The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman saga has been going on ever since last year when Swayman and the Bruins went to arbitration.

Of course, Swayman and the Bruins figured out their contract, but we're going to the same stage we were at when the two parties went to arbitration.

The Bruins traded away Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators to solidify Swayman's spot as the #1 goalie on the team and possibly make him want to stay.

Well, if that was their plan, it didn't work, as NHL Insider Shawn Hutcheon states that Swayman and Boston are nowhere close to a deal.

The Chicago Blackhawks may want to look into this. Petr Mrazek won't be here for forever, and you have two young goalies in Adam Gajan and Drew Commesso. But what if Gajan and Commesso don't work out? You want that safety net, and Swayman could offer just that.

Swayman is 25 years old and had a 2.53 GAA and a .916 SV%. But Jeremy really turns it on in the playoffs, having a career 2.38 GAA and a .922 SV%.

Swayman could be a great asset to have if Kyle Davidson looks into it.
