A recent photoshoot was taken with Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard as he reenacted a picture from the beloved 1980s movie Ferris Buellers' Day Off which some Red Wings fans felt disrespected.

During the movie, there's a scene where Bueller's friend Cameron was standing in front of the painting A Sunday on La Grande Jatte while wearing a Gordie Howe Red Wings jersey. Bedard recreated the same scene in front of the same picture while wearing his own jersey for the Blackhawks.

In the recreation of the scene, Bedard can be seen in front of the same incredible painting by Georges Seurat while wearing his own Chicago Blackhawks sweater. There is something magical about Original Six sweaters in front of amazing paintings.

Shortly after it was posted on the X platform, Detroit fans voiced their displeasure and described how they felt as the words disrespectful and blasphemous were thrown around.

The rivalry between the Blackhawks and the Red Wings has been a storied one as both are original six teams and have done battle extensively throughout the seasons and the playoffs and even the Stanley Cup. It's to no surprise that they have a strong sense of love towards their jerseys especially Howe as he has been revered as one of the best hockey players of all time.

Both teams have clashed recently on the 6th of November as the Red Wings took the game 4-1 against the Blackhawks their next bout will take place on January 10th as the Blackhawks will be on the road to face off against the Red Wings. That game will be at 7:00 PM eastern Standard Time.
