Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard Makes Columbus Blue Jackets Pay The Price Sunday
The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to improve their record, after a loss to the Minnesota Wild on Friday.
Connor Bedard is here to ensure the Blackhawks start the game ahead, as the Blackhawks had an early power-play due to a trip on Wyatt Kaiser by James Van Riemsdyk.
Bedard posted a beautiful goal today against Blue Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins today, earning his 5th goal, and 18th point of the season on the power-play.
Bedard took the shot from the side of Merzlikins and made it look effortless thanks to Ryan Donato's help on the play.
There's been talk of Bedard's lack of confidence plaguing his play this season. But since the dam broke against the Dallas Stars, he's regained his shot and his scoring touch.
Now it seems Bedard, has found a second wind this season, as he's been paired with Taylor Hall and Philipp Kurashev. Linemates Bedard has chemistry with, and whom Kurashev posted 50+ points with last year.
The goal was scored at 2:59 into the 1st period against the Columbus Blue Jackets, another rebuilding team in the NHL.
This should be a high-scoring game, if the Columbus Blue Jackets have anything to say about it, as they have Kirill Marchenko, Kent Johnson, and other offensive weapons, along with Dean Evason on the bench.
Connor Bedard now has 18 points( 5 G, 13 A) this season and hopefully, this is a sign of better things to come for the Blackhawks and their fans.
