On this day on October 19th, 2007 Jonathan Toews loudly announced to the NHL, that he had arrived.

The Blackhawks took on the Colorado Avalanche that day, and the Blackhawks were in the emerging as an eventual dynasty.

The building blocks were here, as the Hawks beat the Avalanche 5-3, and Jonathan Toews would hang a goal over Jose Theodore, with 16:09 time on ice that night.

Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Toumo Rutuu, and Robert Lang were all contributing to the defeat of the Avalanche that day.

But back to Toews's goal, you can see how he handles the defenders, as speeds by 2 of the Avalanche defenders with his great skating speed, while dangling around the last defender before posting the first goal of the night on Jose Theodore.

That goal call was an eventual self-fulfilling prophecy as Toews was electrifying with that finish, it was legitimately beautiful.

Toews, goal was assisted by defenseman James Wisnewski and was scored at 6:59 into the 1st period that night.

"It happened so fast," Toews said. "I was lucky their D-men were a little flatfooted. I don't think they expected me to come in with that much speed. I was pretty pumped."

Head Coach Denis Savard complimented Toews' skill at the time, who was only 19 years old, and made it look easy.

"We haven't seen a goal like this in a long time," Savard said. "It was the highlight tape goal of the week, highlight goal of the year."

It kind of reminds you of another 19-year-old Chicago Blackhawk at the moment right?

Toews would play 64 games for the Blackhawks that season, scoring 54 points( 24 G, 30 A).
