The Chicago Blackhawks are down 0-1 after the finish of the period, as Alex Laferrere scored the first goal of the game.

The goal occurred on the power-play, which was Seth Jones out of position, and Anze Kopitar taking advantage of it.

Captain Nick Foligno has had it and is attempting to get some fight back into the Blackhawks game.

Captain Foligno and the tough customer Jeannot engaged in a heavyweight tilt. Foligno and Jeannot would grab each other's jerseys, despite Jeannot's size advantage Foligno wouldn't give an inch.

They would exchange jabs with very few landing at first until near the end of the fight which lasted nearly a minute long.

Jeannot would land some good uppercuts in the beginning but neither would establish dominance.

But the referees would break it up, nearly a minute into the tilt.

The fight occurred with a little less than a minute left in the 1st period after Nick Foligno demolished Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson, which led to Jeannot taking exception. The hit occurred with 1:04 left in the 1st period.

Foligno and Jeannot would both receive 5 minute penalties for fighting.

«One thing I have learned over all my stops is that when you look out for what is best for the team, it is amazing how that resonates with everyone whatever is best for the group benefits everybody.»

Now he is trying to get the team back into the game, and hopefully the instigator penalty is worth it.
