Connor Bedard doesn't mince words and calls out Luke Richardson for wrongful lineup decision
Chicago Blackhawks lose to Dallas Stars 4 to 2: Connor Bedard delivers surprising statement that catches media's attention
The Chicago Blackhawks started off their 4 game road trip last night on Saturday October 26, when they traveled to Dallas to face off against the Stars at the American Airlines Centre.
The Blackhawks, ran by head coach Luke Richardson, were looking at snapping their three game losing streak, but unfortunately fell too short.
There wasn't much to be excited about to watch the Blackhawks based off their recent play and also facing off against the stars, fans and even the Blackhawks knew off the start that the game wasn't going to go their way, and proved it going down 3-0 early on.
Fourth line forward Pat Maroon was a standout player, despite being on the fourth line, he finished with two assists.
Blackhawks star Connor Bedard scored a beauty that was assisted by Pat Maroon and defenseman
Nolan Allan, marking rookie Allan's first NHL point.
Following the completion of the game, the Blackhawks took the stand and faced media for post game questions. Bedard delivered a statement that leaves many fans puzzled.
Blackhawks reporter Phil Thompson is quite confused himself over Connor's comments:
Connor Bedard with an interesting response to why the Blackhawks can't find consistency through three periods:
Said Blackhawks team reporter Phil Thompson
"Just maybe not getting bored with what works. ... We've just got to stick to what we know works."
Said Connor Bedard.
It seems as though Bedard could potentially be calling out head coach Luke Richardson, who ended up fixing something that wasn't broken, echoing Bedard's comments.
Richardson switched Bedard's linemates and removed Nick Folino from his line, adding Lucas Reichel to the top line, who has been struggling as of late.
The sudden lineup change moments before puck drop seem to threw Bedard off and the entire top line as they looked near nonexistent.
