Connor Bedard's latest admission draws serious concern amongst Blackhawks fan base
Forward Connor Bedard admits the Blackhawks struggles throughout his time in Chicago have weighed on him, and he's getting tired of it.
After a rough last ten games with just two wins, going 2-8-0, Bedard addresses the media with a strong opinion.
The Chicago Blackhawks landed Connor Bedard in 2023 at the NHL draft, and since then it appears that things have only gotten worse in The Windy City.
Management of the organization really lost a lot of fans, and rubbed them the wrong way, after dumping longtime members of the team in veterans
Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.
They wanted to start a 'new era', and that is the Connor Bedard era, even dumping legendary announcer Pat Foley for this new plan.
This falls on general manager Kyle Davidson, who removed skill from the Blackhawks organization and failed to replenish it, signings of
Tyler Bertuzzi,
Nick Foligno,
Taylor Hall and more did not fill the void left from Toews and Kane's departure; they are dead last in the Western Conference.
Bedard looks distraught, the worst that reports have seen him thus far
'As dejected as I've seen Connor Bedard.'
He wasn't even happy about reaching 100 career points at 19. ' Said an NHL reporter
"It's really frustrating. We're competitive athletes and we take a lot of pride in our games, our group as a team and our fan base. It's been hard. It's been a lot of games to lose. It weighs on you. Yeah, I mean, just trying to find a way of it, trying to get better every day. But it's hard."
Bedard states he's trying to 'find a way out of it', which the easiest way out of it, can be requesting a trade from the organization. It's time for Kyle Davidson to give him supporting players.
The pressure on Bedard's shoulders as a recently turned 19-year old teenager is truly too much, with several media outlets and reporters recently showing signs of dislikeness to Bedard, including well known members of Barstool Sports.
Bedard earned his 100th career NHL point on Monday in their 5-2 loss to the Flames, leaving him at 39 points in 44 games played this season, a truly impressive stat line for the worst-in-the-west Blackhawks.
With Bedard's frustration being voiced, it's time for general manager Kyle Davidson to listen and make a meaningful move, and bring in proper support for Bedard; not former washed up veterans, enough is enough.
