Detroit Red Wings complete unexpected move involving Patrick Kane
The Detroit Red Wings have taken swift action following their recent loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
In response to an unexpected move with Patrick Kane, the team has announced an "emergency" roster move.
Forward Zach Aston-Reese has been called up from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.
This move positions Aston-Reese to potentially join the lineup for the upcoming game against the division rival Florida Panthers.
The decision comes amid uncertainty surrounding the availability of Patrick Kane, who was unable to play in the previous game against Carolina and was made a scratch.
In addition to Kane, forward Austin Czarnik was also designated as a last-minute scratch for the game against Carolina.
As the Red Wings make a push for the playoffs, these curveballs are sure not helping.
