The Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010s were a powerhouse to be dealt with. Under Coach Joel Quenneville's leadership, they excelled and exceeded fan's expectations.

Thanks to players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the roster, the Blackhawks fans always had a great show to see.

The dynamic duo led the Blackhawks to three Stanley Cups and today marks a special day in history for Patrick Kane.

In 2015, Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane hit a 21-game point streak which set a new record for the franchise.

Kane scored a 1st-period goal, which tied the Golden Rock Bobby Hull's scoring record in 1971-1972.

With a first-period goal, Kane -- who also had two assists -- tied Bobby Hull's franchise-best scoring streak set in 1971-72. Kane has the longest point streak since Sidney Crosby had a point in 25 straight during the 2010-11 season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
Kane would score 3 points that night and would remain humble about the milestone achieved that night with a 3-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

"Right now when you're tied with anything with Bobby Hull it's pretty special considering the career that guy had," said Kane. "But like I said, not too worried about it."

While Kane would never achieve the record of Mario Lemieux, or Wayne Gretzky's point streak which was 46 games( Lemieux) and Gretzky(51) the achievement was remarkable.

The NHL record for consecutive games with a point is 51 games by Wayne Gretzky in 1983-84 (he had 61 goals and 92 assists during the streak). Mario Lemieux is second at 46 games (1989-90)

The Blackhawks in that era were something special, and we should treasure the legacy etched in time.

Kane is always a Blackhawk and United Center is a home he shares with many legends like Chris Chelios, Bobby Hull, and other Blackhawks legends.
