This past Friday night, Robin Lehner broke a two-year silence after ongoing legal issues and posted some concerning messages.
The messages detail a history of abuse, and his sacrifice of his NHL career to get protection for himself and his family.
It involved threats to the NHL, and some of its players albeit none were name-dropped.
The latest post saw Lehner detail his despondency with his current situation, and he said his brain was "fully broken". He would fully renounce his family name, specifying it as "evil".
This time around he'd blame the NHL and NHLPA for his grievances including vaccines, and him facing financial hardship dealing with multiple loans.
In other breaking news, he'd revealed that at one point in his career, he'd be placed in a suicide ward. This is a troubling revelation for Lehner who has been dealing with BPD since at least 2018, when he was diagnosed with the illness.
Lehner would attack his father, as the one person he blames for ruining his life. While extending grace to a nameless person in the Islanders organization, who helped him through a difficult time in his career.
He'd later, attack former Vegas Golden Knights Head Coach Peter DeBoer, and would extend praise and gratitude for Allan Walsh, and Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon.
The last message which was sent through Lehner's friend would be concerning and dripped with a sense of terminality.
His friend would share his sincere gratitude for the fans who have stuck with him through the entire ordeal, showing appreciation for those who cared.
This is a troubling sign for Lehner, as we feel that the NHL and NHLPA should do their diligence and facilitate whatever kind of care they can to muster for the goalie.
