Isaak Phillips played 33 games in the NHL last season, while Connor Bedard played 68 after taking a massive hit from Brendan Smith.

You'd have thought, after this hit from Smith which took him out for a month, he'd learn from that situation.

At training camp, it's apparent he hasn't yet, as defenseman Isaak Phillips squared up to Bedard who was handling the puck near the point, which resulted in a turnover.

The red team would use the chance to put the puck back in the defensive zone, in an attempt to create pressure again, but Samuel Savoie would make them pay as later on in the play he'd score during practice.

While Phillips did make a huge play and impression on the ice, he didn't move with the intent to injure, as Smith did.

But it still seems, even with his sophomore season in the NHL Bedard needs to be better with puck possession, and his vision on the ice.

Hopefully, we'll get more videos of exciting plays during training camp, but this play shows another weakness Bedard needs to address.

Where's Foligno when you need him?
