Former Blackhawks goalie, Kevin Lankinen has apparently found a new home after a struggle to find a contract elsewhere in the NHL.

The former goalie was reluctant to sign a PTO and his holdout has been rewarded, as the Vancouver Canucks signed the goalie.

The term is one-year, just above the league minimum at $875K, as the Canucks goalie depth is thin at the moment.

The Canucks signed Dylan Ferguson to a PTO and opted to give Lankinen a shot, as goalies Thatcher Demko, Casey DeSmith, and Artur Silovs are out as a result of injuries.

In 2023-2024, Lankinen played for the Nashville Predators who made it to the playoffs but were subsequently knocked out of the playoffs, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1st round.

His record for the season was 11-6-0, with a 2.82 GAA, and a .908 SV%.
