Chicago Blackhawks Take on Detroit Red Wings in Wednesday Night Rivalry: How to watch, lineups and more

The Blackhawks will face the Detroit Red Wings Wednesday night at United Center in an old-school rivalry game.

Big names like Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat will be up against their former team, facing Connor Bedard.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

The Blackhawks have done well against Detroit recently, with a 15-8-1 record in their last 24 games and an 11-3-2 record at home since 2015-16. In their last game back in February, Detroit edged out a 3-2 overtime win, despite strong plays from Nick Foligno and Connor Bedard... Blackhawks fans might remember this one!

On Sunday the Blackhawks beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-2, led by rookie Connor Bedard, who put up three assists. Ryan Donato, Seth Jones, and Teuvo Teravainen each scored, and Isaak Phillips got his first goal of the season. Alex Vlasic also picked up an assist, giving him three in his last four games. Goalie Arvid Soderblom was solid, making 38 saves to secure his first win this season.

SODERBLOM STEPS UP

Arvid Soderblom stopped 38 out of 40 shots against Anaheim, posting a .950 save percentage. He now holds a 2.35 goals-against average this season and a .927 save percentage. S

RISING STAR BEDARD

Connor Bedard's three assists against Anaheim marked his 11th multi-assist game, tying him with Bobby Hull for the second most by a Blackhawks teenager. Bedard now trails only Patrick Kane, who had 13 such games as a teen with the team.

DONATO ON A ROLL

Ryan Donato scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season on Sunday, tying his career-long point streak. His seven goals currently put him 14th among all NHL players, with five goals in his last five games.
