After being traded earlier this year to the Chicago Blackhawks for a 2026 7th-round pick, he has yet again been waived.
Pitlick was snakebitten during a short 9-game stint with the Blackhawks.
His best season was in 2021-2022 when he split the NHL season between the Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens.

In 66 games that season, he recorded 15 goals and 22 assists for 37 points.
If Pitlick clears waivers, he will be reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs, where he could be a depth option in the future.
As part of the 2016 NHL entry draft, the 26-year-old was selected 76th overall in the 3rd round by the Nashville Predators.
In 132 NHL games, he has scored 21 goals and contributed 33 assists for 54 points.
