It was revealed during a tribute by the Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League at the local hockey rink in Sewell New Jersey will be renamed to honor Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau.

Prior to the game against the Northeast Generals, the rebels had a tribute in store for the family which allowed family members, friends and hockey fans to reminisce on the two brothers and what they brought to the game of hockey.

It was also announced during that ceremony that the Sewell NJ hockey arena currently known as the HollyDell Ice Rink will be renamed in honor of the Gaudreau brothers and will be called The Gaudreau Rink.

Both players never played for the Philadelphia Rebels, nor did they ever play for the North American Hockey League but the sheer sadness and outpouring of support for this tragedy has shown itself across the entire continent and in other parts of the world.

The two brothers were killed by an alleged drunk driver while cycling along a road in Oldsman Township New Jersey On August 29th. The family was preparing to welcome a wedding for his sister the following day.

We want to continue to send our sympathies and support towards the Gaudreau family, the NHLPA and the Columbus Blue Jackets and Calgary Flames organizations as many continue to come to grip with this horrible loss.
