Despite this, the 19-45-5 team is eager to improve upon the situation to instill a winning culture.
Doing so starts at practice and begins with the fundamentals of the game.
In doing so, the team needs some of the younger players to find their competitive edge.
Nick Foligno might be the best guy in the NHL. Goes at it hard with a rookie and then applauds the effort. Total pro. https://t.co/m0JMOhbpSy World Hockey Report (@worldhockeyrpt) March 20, 2024
Nick Foligno, all the while was there to push and goad rookies like Kevin Korchinski into the mindset needed to win.
For example during these box-out drills in front of the net, Foligno and Korchinski battled it out for net-front position.
You can see Korchinski is getting the hang of things, as he wasn't afraid to push back against Foligno, as things got heated between the two.
However, in the spirit of it all, Foligno gave Korchinski appreciation for his effort during the drill.
In 63 regular season NHL games, Korchinski has 13 points(5G, 8A) with the Chicago Blackhawks.
