The Chicago Blackhawks are doing wonderful things in the draft, as two of their first-round draft picks are lighting up the AHL.

Kevin Korchinski and Frank Nazar connected on a goal, that shows off the defenseman's speed.

Nazar would originally connect on a one-time with Korchinski which would be deflected, off into the corner, and Korchinski would regain control of the puck.

After regaining control, he'd utilize his silky-smooth hands, and skating to score a backhanded goal on Chicago Wolves goalie #80 Ruslan Khazheyev.

Colton Dach and Frank Nazar would collect assists on the play, giving the IceHogs a 3-2 lead over the Wolves.

Following this play, Artyom Levshunov would find the back of the net, with an assist for IceHogs Captain Brett Seney.

Top Scorers- The IceHogs are led in scoring by Nazar who has 19 points (10G,9A). The 2022 first round pick leads AHL rookies with ten goals. Dach is second in scoring with 13 points (7G,6A) and has goals in back to back games. Cole Guttman is third in scoring with 11 points (6G,5A). Guttman had a 40 point season last year in Rockford.

There's been talk of the Blackhawks calling up Frank Nazar during the 2nd half of the season. With a desperate need for help in the NHL with scoring, and his hot streak continuing in the AHL, it's hard not to see Kyle Davidson and the Hawks give Nazar a shot soon.

While Kevin Korchinski looks confident in the AHL, and that goal was a beauty!

In 17 games this season Korchinski has 8 points( 1 G, 7 A) and -12 in the AHL.
