The Chicago Blackhawks would attempt to string together four wins in Calgary last night. But the Flames had other plans as they struck, early and often with Jonathan Hubderdeau and Nazeem Kadri scoring consecutively.
The Flames would play dirty, and would accumulate multiple penalties in the third, including a cross-check that would go unpunished.
Later, Blackhawks forward Ryan Donato would attempt to put one past Flames goalie Dustin Wolf. The Flames would rally around their goalie, and chaos would ensue as multiple players would grab each other, and after the whistle was blown, Tyler Bertuzzi would attempt to interject.
Martin Posipisil would try his own style of justice, as he grabbed Bertuzzi, and Bertuzzi would lash out in frustration. He'd slash Jonathan Huberdeau, and his stick would catch the Flames's forward legs.
The Flames were targeting Bedard all night, and Posipisil would relish in the chance to hurt another Blackhawks forward, as he slammed Bertuzzi into the glass.
While it's uncertain whether Bertuzzi will receive a suspension for his actions, it's clearly a slash.
The Blackhawks would be unable to put out Ryan Huska's Flames despite their best efforts.
The brutality that Flames employed during the match, ended up working out in their favor.
The Hawks themselves did what they could to dig themselves out of the hole, but earning a game misconduct certainly doesn't help your team either.
Tyler Bertuzzi had a 3 point( 2 G, 1 ) game, with 14 PIMs and 2 hits.
