Will Lukas Reichel bounce back this season?
Last season, Lukas Reichel was sent down to the AHL to finish the season in Rockford lending a hand with the team's playoff push.
He would end the season in the AHL with 8 points in 10 games, with the IceHogs and ship off to the IIHF World Championships.
Following that he would score 7 points in 6 games with Team Germany in the IIHF. Showing us, he wasn't down and out.
But can he capitalize upon the post-season momentum he built in 2024-2025?
Despite his inconsistent showing in 2023-2024 with only 16 points in 65 games in the NHL, the Blackhawks signed him for two more years, in what could be considered a bridge deal.
He will need to prove to Kyle Davidson and the Hawks that he has what it takes to play on NHL ice, and IIHF ice as international play is comparable to NHL ice.
Has he finally found the confidence to shoot the puck?

Kyle Davidson and the Blackhawks signed him to a $1.2 Million AAV contract, for a two-year term. He will need to find a way to stay relevant in a team that is trying to find the best talent for the future.
