"Everything we did was for his family" Meredith Gaudreau, Widow of Johnny Gaudreau, reveals a saddened revelation to social media via Instagram

Heartbreak struck the hockey world in August when Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, brothers who were in New Jersey for their sisters wedding the next day, were struck by 43-year old drunk driver Sean Higgins.

Both Johnny and Matthew left behind family members, including their own kids with their loved ones. Meredith, Johnny's wife, also revealed she was pregnant at the time of Johnny's passing.

Meredith Gaudreau has just revealed that she was pregnant at the time that her loved one Johnny passed away. Johnny Gaudreau was going to be a dad for a third time, expanding their family to three little ones.

As time passes, the thought of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau in this world won't. Meredith continues to share heartbreaking revelations on social media, in honor of Johnny and her most recent one will bring a tear to many eyes.

In an old interview that's resurfaced, Johnny was seen speaking about his family and how much he is dedicated to providing for them.

Meredith reposted the video to her instagram story, with a heartfelt caption.

«Everything he did was for his family. Couldn't have asked for a more loving and selfless guy»

The loving stories don't end there, in her fourth story of the day, she shared yet another heartfelt message to the father of her children.

«He was so perfect, «I will never stop being so grateful to have been his wife, and I'll never stop feeling like the luckiest girl in the world for that. I love you John so much.»

NHL legend, considered to be the best to ever lace up the skates Wayne Gretzky issued a message on Gaudreau.

«And I thought many times how difficult it is for the entire family, the mom and dad and the sister, the wives and the kids. It's just one of those horrible scenarios,»
Said The Great One.
«And, you know, one of the things that makes our game great are the people who are in it, and I thought what the Flyers did in inviting his dad down to coach for a day. I thought that it just showed how classy hockey is. It was such a cool moment for his dad. It's never going to replace his boys, but it was something special,»
Gretzky finished with.

While the hockey community still mourns, we continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the Gaudreau family, friends, loved ones and those affected by this tragedy.
