On August 29th, the hockey world suffered a great tragedy as Johnny Gaudreau and his little brother Matthew got killed in a drunk driving incident.
Sean Higgins, the person who murdered the Gaudreau's, had his second court case. Higgins had to be held in jail longer because of Labor Day after the first meeting with the judge.
He was acting cocky and seemed visibly frustrated when he was told he had to stay in the cell longer because of Labor Day, as if it was an inconvenience to him.
Although, this morning, Higgins walked in with no cockiness and had a new goatee and was in an orange jumpsuit.
The judge was supposed to come to a ruling. However, the meeting was canceled after just a few seconds.
Higgins' next meeting with the judge is scheduled to be on September 13th.
