More tragic news had hit the hockey world.
Vladimir Bure, father of both two former NHLers Pavel and Valeri Bure, has passed away at the age of 73.
Vladimir Bure won two Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils organization in 2000 and 2003 as a physical trainer.
As per Sports-Express.Ru, Bure passed away on Tuesday in Miami. The reason is unknown, however, it's suspected it's because of a heart attack suffered a few weeks ago and having a stroke in 2020.
The following is from Sports-Express.Ru:
'Vladimir Bure was hospitalized a few weeks ago due to a heart attack. He complained of severe pain in his heart. In 2020, Bure suffered a stroke.'
Vladimir won one silver and three bronze medals in the Olympics participating in swimming, and two silver winning the WC.
Pavel Bure, Vladimir's son, is in the Hockey Hall of Fame and has too many accolades to mention. His other son, Valeri, played for ten seasons in the NHL and participated in the 2000 NHL All Star Game.
